Where can I get a bad credit auto loan without phonecalls from dealerships?
Aug 20, 2008 by thinkpink82981 | Posted in Buying & Selling
I'm interested in a private loan company that specializes in bad credit auto loans. I do not want the type of loan where they refer you to 20 different dealers. I already have a vehicle in mind through a private seller. How can I just get a bad credit auto loan that has no referrals for dealers???
Thanks
Scotts Lisa, you're a SCAM artist! Let me guess you're in Nigeria too, right??
Your best bet is to try a couple of online lenders. I have used lendingtree.com before and they were very good. You fill out one application and they shop it to 4 lenders who are likely to approve you. If Lendingtree does not get an approval, go to capitalone.com or drivetime.com.
I stress to only go to Drive or Cap AFTER applying at lendingtree. The last 2 specialize in bad credit loans, and will hit you with a higher interest loan. If Lendingtree cannot get an approval, they are the next-to-last choice. Last line of options is the buy here/pay here lot.
Try the online soureces firts, lets see how they work

Since you have bad credit, you can go to a local Credit Union. See what they are offering. Also try Bank of America. They have super attractive rates for good credit. So they likely have reasonable rates for you.
Also you can give the VIN number of the car you have in mind & whatever price you & Seller agreed. That will make sure you are not directed to the Dealers. The banks usually don't unless you ask.
Good Luck.

Does anyone know how to get a bad credit auto loan for private seller?
Feb 16, 2008 by Lollipopgirl123 | Posted in Credit
I have poor credit and am wanting to get a car from a private seller. I don't know what companies would approve me. If anyone has been in my situation and got approved for a car loan with bad credit, please let me know!
usually those loans come direct from the car dealers because they make so much profit from them they can take the chance that some wont pay. if a bank or credit union wont give you the loan, you can ask the seller if you can make payments to them. good luck

I get loans from my bank to buy cars. Dealerships don't care how you get the money just as long as you get it for them. Also the car dealerships don't give the loans its a bank that they will work with. Depending on how bad your credit is you may be able to get a loan but with a really high APR. If you could get somebody to co-sign with you. If so you could probably get a lower APR. But they would have to have good credit.

Try Capital One, CitiFinancial, or Household Bank. All are accessable online, and cater to bad credit.

Has anyone had any luck getting a person-to-person auto loan from Capitol One with poor/bad credit?
Feb 16, 2008 by Lollipopgirl123 | Posted in Credit
I have heard that Capitol One approves auto loans for people with poor credit for purchases from a private seller. But I don't want to apply and get denied, which will damage my credit even further. Can anyone give me any ideas about this or know of any companies that are guaranteed to give bad credit auto loans to people who want to purchase from a private seller, not a dealer?
that's hard to answer because having bad credit is really preventing you from having alot of options
i think its important to improve your score before digging into more debt
if you have a car just try to hang on to it until you are in a better financial situation (better score)
good luck

If you think you need to have a new or used car to support your life activity, auto loan is the kind of loan which will guarantee a loan regardless of your credit rating<!--With this credit rating waive, guaranteed approval auto loan will have a higher interest which you need to consider thoroughly before you jumping into it.
http://best-loans.awardspace.com/autoloans.htm
There are a lot of companies which can guarantee you auto loans, so you must find the best offer that is suitable with your monthly income. Look for the best deal and offer that you can get. You can visit-->any banks and car dealers around your area, but for a guaranteed approval auto loan usually available via websites.

I have/had credit issues. I needed a new car last year, and Capital One helped me out. I went to Lending Tree.com, entered my information, and they returned to me a whole bunch of lenders who might help me. Capital One initially denied me through lending tree but then an hour later said I had been approved. If your credit is bad, having a further denial at this point isn't really going to make much of a difference. It helps if you are working full time and have been for a while now.
I didn't get a person to person loan through them. I got the Blank Check thing, and then I just used that at the dealer. You can also use the Blank Check at Carmax if you are looking for an inexpensive car. Might be 'safer' than buying from a person.
Just my two cents! You might also check out some credit unions in your area or if you employer offers some type of help/benefit.
Good luck.

How does a bad credit auto loan really work?
May 29, 2008 by Derek B | Posted in Credit
My credit score is probably 0 (yes I know that's not possible) but it's pretty bad. Say for example I want a $5,000-$6,000 car, how much would I have to put down and how much would the interest typically be?
You would have to put down minimum 10% and probably have to pay a loan that has a 30% interest rate.
ja517@y7mail.com | May 29, 2008
In this case it would depend on the car dealer and then the bank making the loan. In the case which you describe it could range but my guess is it would be minimal in some cases as to what the down payment would be since they dont expect alot with you having a low credit score. The problem would come to you however as to what interest rate you would recieve. That will be the bigger issue as this will drive you overall investment in this car up. You might try your current bank if you have had good standing with your accounts. They may be able to help you more knowing you as a customer and being able to look up history of your accounts. They may also be a good place to give you advice. The bank that you go to might ask that you make a down payment however in this case depending how your car comes out in the deal if it is worth a significant amount less than what you are paying. In that scenario you will have to make up the difference. This is all depending on the bank. Good luck and enjoy the car hunt.

Hi!! by the look of the credit business following this sub prime fiasco, i do not think you would have much chance of getting your loan through the normal chanels and therefore you would be wide open to the loan sharks.. Certainly here in the UK things really are very tight now. On the other hand the car market is in trouble so you might be lucky with long payment period, and 39pt9 pc, interest.
Good luck to you.
octogen | May 29, 2008
You have an option of an unsecured car loan, secured car loan, personal car loan, and adverse credit car loan. You can opt for the car loan according to your choice. An unsecured car loan could be sought without putting collateral. On the other hand secured car loan needs collateral.
The benefit that you would get is that longer repayment term will be there in a secured car loan. The repayment terms would be shorter in an unsecured car loan. Since the risk is high to the lenders in the case of an unsecured car loan, so the repayment terms are shorter.

It's not that hard to find a loan if you have bad credit, but it's harder to find a loan without extremely high interest rates, which means you have to do a lot of legwork and shopping around. There are too many companies that try to take advantage of people in your situation. See the following article for some advice and tips:

Need help with a Bad Credit Auto Loan?
Dec 03, 2008 by decemberkitty02 | Posted in Credit
Has anyone got a bad credit auto loan? I need one, and can't seem to find one. I've tried applying for a bunch, and can't seem to get one.
I've worked at my job about 10 months, rented for about 1 year 2 months, and make about 1500 a month gross. My credit has been awful since June when I stopped paying on about 8 different credit cards. So it's definately rated at BAD.
Any feedback would be great! Thanks in advance!

You stopped paying on eight credit cards? Your only hope is a "buy it here, pay it here" used car. Expect to pay out the yingyang on interest.

You'd be surprised how many people buy their cars for cash. You can bargain the price down to nothing with cash in hand.
I bought my first car for cash. It took me 6 months of saving (hard), but I did it.

Ok, despite all the rubbish spam answers you've received, there are actually legitimate options out there for bad credit auto loans.
You won't be able to get anything from a bank at this time, why would they loan you money when you stopped paying off their credit cards?
Your best bet is to go to a broker who deals with this sort of problem for a living. What a broker will do is submit your application to multiple lenders who will then compete for your business. You just pick the best deal for you.
Bear in mind that their interest will be higher than banks as the money will come from private lenders who are capitalizing on the economic crisis.
The link below is from a scam review site, it has three recommended brokers on it who deal specifically with bad credit auto loans.
Keep up with the payments this time, and this can be a great way to improve your credit with private lenders.
Good luck, hope that helps.

What is the best way to get a bad credit auto loan?
Jul 10, 2007 by j.fleming2 | Posted in Credit
I think that my score is about a 525. I do not have an money to put down and I need to trade in a car that I owe about 4000 on and it is worth about 2000. What should I do?
Find a new car with a good rebate....that rebate could possibly make up for your lack of down payment.

where can can i find a bad credit/ op credit auto loan?
Apr 02, 2008 by tasia_audre | Posted in Credit
I am looking for an auto loan to buy a used vehicle. I don't have bad credit but my credit is not established so I need help finding an auto loan.
I am sorry to say that if
you don't have any credit,
then creditors look at your
profile as a high credit risk
or bad credit.
Unless you can get a co signer
you are going to have to deal
with second chance creditors.
Unless, you go to a furniture store
or a jewelry store and apply for credit
threre, apply for a 2-3 hundrend dollar
credit purchase, make your monthly
payments on time and after 6 months
apply for a credit card with a $500-
$1000 limit. 6 months of good
standing with your first creditor
should earn you the right to the
credit card. After about a year
of being in good standing with
your creditors, try to apply for a
new car.

Online Payday Loans And Poor Credit
A poor history of credit can often be a sensitive issue for individuals who intend to lend a small amount of money for making their cash flow smoother because most companies would not wish to lend to an individual that has a high probability for not paying back. Traditional lending institutions normally do an extensive background and credit check on the borrower and if they find your credit rating fishy, you would certainly not be able to get a loan from them.
Don?t worry if you are troubled about it because cash advance companies WILL get you the money.
Online payday advances are normally approved within a day or so and can be wired to your bank account quickly. Perhaps suprisingly, companies who provide online payday loans dont do any background or credit checks and the most important thing that they look for is usually how steady and regular your pay check is.
When you apply for a payday loan, you have to provide a post dated check to the institution that has been cashed on the due date which does not go on for more than one and a half or two weeks. You need to be careful though, if you do not pay the loan back in the required time, you will have to face the penalty such as huge fines or multiplication of the interest rate by at least a few times.
Payday loans can sometimes benefit both the lender and the borrower because the borrower can get a small loan even with bad credit history and the lender has little to risk as the loan period is normally quite short.
Lastly, many people dont know that by actually by applying for a payday advance, they can increase their credit rating by borrowing and paying back on time. Improving credit rating used to be a difficult problem because no company would want to lend them anything in the first place so it was difficult to show that you are a creditable person. However, it is important to keep in mind that you must repay the loan on time or otherwise you may get a bad credit history and you would be in a bad position to apply for other financial products.Andrew owns a number of finance related sites.
